Whitewater Rafting and Mountain Camping

June 21 - June 23


WILD is headed to the waters of the Nantahala River in the beautiful Bryson City, North Carolina!

Leaving on Friday afternoon in the Basecamp Bus, we will head up to the mountains to camp, relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air and a campfire.

Saturday we will head into the Nantahala Gorge where we will be rafting down the Class II-III rapids of the Nantahala River on a fully guided trip with the NOC. This beginning whitewater rafting trip is perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy the thrill of rafting in a beautiful environment.

After our day of conquering fears, learning new skills and thrills we will head back to the campground for dinner and campfire for another night of sleep under the stars. Sunday morning we will eat breakfast, pack up and head back to Columbus.

Pre-trip Meeting is MANDATORY and will be held on Thursday June 20th at 6:30PM at the Spencer Environmental Center.

Trip cost is $150 per person and includes:

  • round trip transportation via the Basecamp Bus from downtown Columbus
  • 2 nights camping
  • Basic camping equipment (if needed) such as tent, sleeping pad and cookstove
  • Fully Guided whitewater rafting trip
  • Adventure Zip Line
