Girls Wilderness Summer Camp

Girls Wilderness Summer Camp – for girls ages 8-12 years.
Come learn the joys of wilderness adventure, surrounded by nature, friends and an experienced staff. You will enjoy hiking, camping, survival skills, crafts, campfires and more!
Cost: $300 per camper and includes:
Round Trip transportation from Columbus, 3 full days of fun and learning outdoor skills, overnight camping trip (basic camping equipment is included) meals and a camper t-shirt!
Monday June 10th will be an all day trip at FDR State Park. Campers can be dropped off between 8:00am and 8:30am at the Spencer Environmental Center, located downtown Columbus. From there we will be loading the Basecamp Bus and head up to FDR State Park for a full day of learning and fun. Campers will return back to the Spencer Environmental Center for pick up at 5:00 – 5:30pm.
Tuesday June 11th we will be headed back to FDR State Park for our overnight trip. Campers can be dropped off at the Spencer Environmental Center at 8:00am – 8:30am where we will load up our overnight bags onto the basecamp bus and head up to our campsite. During the day the girls will learn the basics of camping, building survival shelters, outdoor cooking, fire safety and more! We will enjoy dinner and s’mores around the campfire and sleep in tents under the stars.
Wednesday June 12th we will be making breakfast at the campsite, and enjoy the beautiful wilderness before packing up camp and heading home. Campers will return back to the Spencer Environmental Center at 5:00pm for pick up.
Post registration: parents and campers will receive a full packet with detailed information, t-shirt size selection and meal choices.
Lead Staff has over 25 years of wilderness experience, is a certified Wilderness First Responder, Adult and Child CPR and AED Certified, American Canoe Association L4 Whitewater Instructor and L4 Swift Water Rescue Certified.
