Waterfalls and Fall Splendor Camp & Hike
October 26 @ 7:00 am - October 27 @ 6:00 pm$125.00
Cloudland Canyon State Park is breathtaking any time of year, with deep canyons, waterfalls and views, but we are going to head up for an overnight camp in the middle of prime leafing season!
Join WILD as we depart early on Saturday October 26th and head to Cloudland Canyon State Park. After eating lunch and setting up camp, we will head down into the canyon to explore the magnificent waterfalls and complete the 5 mile Sutton Gulch Trail that runs along the canyon floor. After our afternoon in the canyon, we will head back to our campsite for dinner and campfire.
Sunday morning we will awake early to hike the 4.8 mile West Rim Trail, where we may catch the first rays of sun as they crest over the canyon rim – and get rewarded with sweeping views of fall splendor. After our hike we will head back to camp for breakfast and to pack up to head back to Columbus.
Cost is $125 per person and includes round trip transportation from Columbus, fully guided hikes, basic camping equipment (if needed such as a tent or air mattress), Saturday night dinner and Sunday morning Breakfast.
Spots are limited and trip will run rain or shine! Ladies only ages 16 and up please. Minors must be accompanied by a female parent/guardian. No hiking or camping experience is necessary, but the hike down and back up from the canyon can be strenuous with many stairs and the hikes are rated as moderate.
